Sacrament of Penance and Communion 2009

Congratulation to Rebecca Mahon, Caolainn Feeney, Paul Massey, Jamie Finn and Colin Fitzgerald who received the Sacraments of Penance and First Communion in St. Thomas’ Church this year. A huge thanks to their teacher Mrs. Nolan for preparing them and to all the parents who prepared the party in the Cooley Hall afterwards.

Easter Crafts 2009

On Thursday 2nd of April, the day before Our Easter Holidays we made Easter baskets in Mrs Nolan's class. We wove the baskets with green and yellow card and attached a handle. After lunch we made straw from shredded wheat soaked in melted choclate and put this in the basket. We then put some little Easter Eggs and a baby chick on top.
They looked really cool!!!!

Pancakes

Shrove Tuesday
This year like every other year we made pancakes on Shrove Tuesday.The batter was made from flour,eggs and milk.Our class was divided into two groups: one group went into the kitchen with Bernie. I was in the second group and I was with Mrs Nolen. We had a lot of topping like nuttella,Maple Syrup.butter and sugar.One of the children in our class is lactose intoleran so we made a special batch for him.

The Dioroma

The whole of Nov. was spent planning and making a Diorama.We had gathered fabric,bottles,paper,card and other recyclables.Miss Kirk and Mrs. Nolan discussed how to make an underwater Diorama and we came up ideas of which fish to include.We made crabs,swordfish,clownfish,coralsnake,glowfish,and rainbow fish.Sean Forde, Mrs. Fordes husband built the outside of the Diorama.The we painted it.
We made our fish out of all the recyclables.
It looks BRILLANT!!!
All of Our Mammies and Daddies admired it at our Christmas Concert.
